நிபந்தனையும் விதிக்கவில்லை. அதேபோல் அவர்களும் எந்த உறுதி மொழியும்
கொடுக்கவில்லை. காங்கிரஸ் அரசை காப்பாற்றவே நான் காங்கிரசில் இணைந்தேன். காங்கிரஸ் தலைமை என்னை கவுரவப்படுத்தவே மந்திரி பதவி வழங்கியுள்ளது.இந்த பதவியில் உண்மையாக இருப்பேன் என்று கருதி இந்த பதவியை கொடுத்துள்ளது. இதற்காக அன்னை சோனியா காந்தி, பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங், ராகுல் காந்தி, வயலார் ரவி, குலாப் நபி ஆசாத் ஆகியோருக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்து கொள்கிறேன்’’என்று கூறினார்.
While Meenakshi Natarajan, Pradeep Balmuchu, Deepa Dasmunsi, Pradip Majhi, Manicka Tagore, Manish Tewari, Chiranjeevi and Abu Hasnat Khan Chowdhury are among those expected to be inducted as ministers of state, sports minister Ajay Maken could get a cabinet berth.
Among the ministers of state, Harish Rawat, KH Muniaappa, Sachin Pilot, Purandeswari and Jyotiraditya Scindia could be promoted - some to cabinet rank, others with independent charge.
While Sangma put in her papers after she campaigned for her father PA Sangma in the presidential poll, Pala and Khandela have been roped in for party work.
Commerce minister Anand Sharma is being touted as the new external affairs minister but no senior Congress functionary confirmed it.
Shashi Tharoor, former minister of state for external affairs, is likely to stage a comeback.
