While the Congress was leading in all City Municipalities and Town Municipalities, the BJP was ahead in Town Panchayats. Elections were held in 1,361 wards of eight city corporations (CMC), 33 Town Municipal Corporations (TMC) and 22 Taluk Panchayats (TP).
