சென்னை தி.நகர், வெங்கடேசன் தெருவில் தனியார் தங்கும் விடுதி உள்ளது. இங்கு கடந்த 27-ம் தேதி மதியம் 12-30 மணியளவில் வெளிநாட்டு பெண் பயணி ஒருவர் அறை எடுத்து தங்கி வந்தார். தான் ஒரு பத்திரிகையாளர் என்று கூறி அறை எடுத்து தங்கியுள்ளார்.
சென்னை தி.நகர், வெங்கடேசன் தெருவில் தனியார் தங்கும் விடுதி உள்ளது. இங்கு கடந்த 27-ம் தேதி மதியம் 12-30 மணியளவில் வெளிநாட்டு பெண் பயணி ஒருவர் அறை எடுத்து தங்கி வந்தார். தான் ஒரு பத்திரிகையாளர் என்று கூறி அறை எடுத்து தங்கியுள்ளார்.
30-ம் தேதி வரை தங்கப்போவதாக விடுதி மேளாளரிடம் கூறி தங்கியுள்ளார்.
இந்நிலையில் நேற்று மதியம் 2 மணிக்கு அவர் செக் அவுட் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
அல்லது மேலும் தங்க விரும்பினால் மேலாளரிடம் தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால்
அவர் வெளியே வரவும் இல்லை, மதிய உணவுக்கும் ஆர்டர் எதுவும் கொடுக்கவில்லை.
இதையடுத்து அறை ஊழியர் சுரேஷ் என்பவர் கதவை தட்டியுள்ளார். வெகு நேரம் கதவு திறக்காததால் மாற்றுச்சாவியை எடுத்துச் சென்று திறந்து பார்த்துள்ளார். அப்போது படுக்கையில் அந்தப்பெண் பிணமாக கிடப்பது தெரிந்து அதிர்ச்சியடைந்துள்ளார்.
தனது மேலாளரிடம் சுரேஷ் தகவல் சொல்ல, உடனடியாக மாம்பலம் போலீஸாருக்கு விடுதியிலிருந்து புகார் அளிக்கப்பட்டது. பின்னர் போலீஸார் விடுதிக்கு வந்துள்ளனர். சம்பவ இடத்தில் வெளிநாட்டு இளம்பெண்ணை போலீஸார் சோதித்தபோது அவர் இறந்து வெகு நேரம் ஆனதும், அவர் விஷம் அருந்தி இறந்திருக்கலாம் என்றும் தெரியவந்தது.
வெளிநாட்டு இளம்பெண் பிணமாக கிடந்த கட்டிலுக்கு பக்கத்தில் விஷபாட்டில் ஒன்றும் கிடந்தது. அவர் விஷம் அருந்தி தற்கொலை செய்துக்கொண்டாரா? அல்லது கொலை செய்யப்பட்டாரா? என்ற கோணத்தில் போலீஸார் சந்தேக மரணமாக ஐபிசி 174- பிரிவின் கீழ் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர். அவரது உடல் பிரேத பரிசோதனைக்காக ராயப்பேட்டை அரசு பொது மருத்துவ மனைக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டது.
இறந்து கிடந்த வெளிநாட்டு பெண் பெயர் லிண்டா இரேனா (24) என்பதும், அவர் நெதர்லாந்து நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்தவர். பெண் பத்திரிகையாளர் என்று குறிப்பிட்டு வந்துள்ளார். அவர் எதற்காக சென்னை வந்தார், சென்னையில் யாரை சந்தித்தார் என்ற கோணத்தில் போலீஸார் விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

According to sources, Linda (24) had checked into the hotel at Venkatesan Street, T Nagar on Monday.
At the time of renting the room, she had introduced herself as a journalist to the hotel staff.
She also notified them that she would vacate on Thursday morning.
However, after the hotel staff did not see any sign of her till Thursday evening, they used a master key to open the door.
The
staff found her lying dead on the bed and informed the police.
Investigation officials suspect that she has committed suicide. It is
also said that she was going through a financial crisis.
Unconfirmed sources said that a bottle containing some liquid substance was found in the hotel room.
According to police, Linda had reached the city on 3 July and stayed in two hotels. She checked into the first one through online booking. Police say she shifted to the second hotel since she could not afford the first hotel.
“We have found some books in which she had written in Dutch, we are trying to get it translated. She had come on a tourist visa and we are yet to understand if there was any purpose behind her visit. The hotel staff said she was struggling to pay rent and had asked for a discount,” police said.
