நாளை பொழுது விடிந்தால் புலிகளுக்கு திருமணம். ஆம் ஐம்பத்து மூன்று முன்னை நாள் புலிப்போராளிகளுக்கு வெலிகந்தையில் உள்ள சேனபுர முகாமில் பெரியோர்கள் முன்னிலையில் பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரிகள் ஆசியுடன் கோலாகலமாக திருமணம் நடைபெறும்.
புலி இயக்கத்தின் கோரப்பிடியில் இருந்து இறைவன் கருணையாலும் எத்தனையோ நல்ல மனிதர்களின் தியாகத்தாலும் இன்று சுதந்திர மனிதர்களாக வாழ்க்கையை ஆரம்பிக்க இருக்கும் இப்புதுமண தம்பதிகளை நாமும் வாழ்த்துகிறோம்.

முன்னாள் விடுதலைப் புலிப் போராளிகளில் 53 ஜோடிகளுக்கு நாளை வவுனியாவில் திருமணம் செய்து வைப்பதற்கான அனைத்து ஏற்பாடுகளும் பூர்த்தியடைந்துள்ளதாக புனர்வாழ்வு, மறுசீரமைப்பு அமைச்சின் புனர்வாழ்வுக்கான ஆணையாளர் பிரிகேடியர் எஸ். ரணசிங்க தெரிவித்தார். யுத்தத்தின் பின்னர் இராணுவத்திடம் சரணடைந்த போராளிகளுக்கு புனர்வாழ்வு நிலையங்களில் சுயதொழில் பயிற்சிகளும் புனர்வாழ்வுப் பயிற்சிகளும் வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. அவர்களில் ஒரு தொகுதியினருக்கு நாளை திருமணம் செய்து வைக்கப்படவுள்ளது. திருமண பந்தத்தில் இணையும் அனைவருக்கும் வீடுகள் கட்டிக்கொடுக்கத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்நிகழ்வு பம்பைமடுவில் காலை 7.30 மணிக்கு ஆரம்பமாகவுள்ளது. புனர்வாழ்வு, சிறைச்சாலை மறுசீரமைப்பு அமைச்சர் டி.குணசேகர இந்நிகழ்வில் பிரதம அதிதியாகக் கலந்துகொள்வார்.

where he gave away proficiency certificates to them at the Senapura
Rehabilitation Centre in Welikanda.
Expressing his view the Defence Secretary said all these youths had
the capability of directing their lives on the right track. They had
been duped by the LTTE outfit and now they have been re-integrated
into society after rehabilitation that would pave the way for their
