அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் ஜெயலலிதா படங்கள்: தடை விதிக்க உயர் நீதிமன்றம் மறுப்பு

அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் இருந்து தமிழக முன்னாள் முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதாவின் படங்களை அகற்றக் கோரிய வழக்கை சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றம் தள்ளுபடி செய்தது.

'அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் யாருடைய புகைப்படங்களை எல்லாம் வைக்கலாம் என்பது தொடர்பாக அரசு ஒரு நிலையான கொள்கையை வகுக்க வேண்டும்.

தற்போது உள்ள நிலவரப்படி, அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் முன்னாள் முதல்வர் படத்தை வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்றே அரசு கொள்கை கொண்டுள்ளது.

எனவே, அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் இருந்து ஜெயலலிதா படங்களை அகற்றக் கோரிய வழக்கு தள்ளுபடி செய்யப்படுகிறது' என்று நீதிபதி தெரிவித்தார். முபார்க்கட்டும்  முதல்ல உயிரோடு இருக்கிற ஜெயலலிதாவின் தங்கை சைலஜா அண்ணன் வாசுதேவன் போன்றோரின் படத்தை பார்க்கட்டும் அப்புறம் அலுவலக படங்களுக்கு வரலாம்சொந்த சகோதர்கள் வறுமை இங்கே மகாராணி வேஷம்!

இந்தியாவில் அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் ஜனாதிபதி, பிரதமர், மாநில முதல்வர், மகாத்மா காந்தி, ஜவாஹர்லால் நேரு படங்களையும், தமிழ கத்தில் ஜனாதிபதி, பிரதமர், முதல்வர், காந்தி, நேரு மற்றும் திருவள்ளுவர், அண்ணா, காமராஜர், ராஜாஜி, பெரியார், அம்பேத்கர், முத்துராமலிங்கத் தேவர் ஆகியோரது படங்களை வைக்கலாம்.

தமிழக முதல்வராக இருந்த ஜெயலலிதா சொத்து குவிப்பு வழக்கில் தண்டனை பெற்று பதவி இழந்ததையடுத்து, ஓ. பன்னீர்செல்வம் முதல்வராகப் பதவியேற்றார்.

ஆனால், தமிழகத்தில் அரசு அலுவலகங்களில் ஜெய லலிதாவின் படம் இன்னும் அகற்றப்படவில்லை. அரசு அலு வலகங்கள், அரசின் திட்டங்களில் உள்ள ஜெயலலிதாவின் பெயர் மற்றும் அவரது படங்களை அகற்ற உத்தரவிட வேண்டும் என்று மனுவில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

Mysore: Despite being alienated and disowned by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, her elder brother N.J. Vasudevan on Saturday expressed shock over the conviction and sentencing of Ms Jayalalithaa by a special court in Bengaluru in an 18-year-old disproportionate assets case. 
Living in a tiny village of Sri Rangarajapura, 40 km from T. Narasipur taluk of Mysore district, the 78-year-old Vasudevan was glued to the television set from morning watching the developments in the corruption case.
When Deccan Chronicle visited his residence, Mr Vasuden was seen praying for acquittal of Ms Jayalalithaa. But as the court pronounced her guilty in the afternoon, he got emotional and felt sorry. “She didn’t deserve this. Though we don’t enjoy the cordial relationship of a brother and sister, I was happy seeing her good work in Tamil Nadu which earned her the name Amma. But everyone has to respect the court verdict and the rule of law is same for everyone. Definitely, it’s a setback for her political career,” he said.
Mr Vasudevan is Ms Jayalalithaa’s step brother. Their father was married to Jayamma, who was Mr Vasudevan’s mother, and Sandhya, who was Ms Jayalalithaa’s mother. Ms Jayalalithaa has two siblings Ms Shailaja and Mr Jayakumar. Ms Shailaja lives in Bengaluru, while the whereabouts of Mr Jayakumar are not known. Mr Vasudevan’s grandfather N. Rangachar was a Mysore Palace doctor during the reign of Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV.
Mr Vasudevan claimed that some of the jewels confiscated from Ms Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate case were those gifted by Krishnaraja Wadiyar during his mother’s wedding.

Though Mr Vasudevan and Ms Shailaja tried to build bridges with her, Ms Jayalalithaa refused to entertain them, despite knowing the struggles they were going the going through to earn their livelihoods. When they went public with their relationship, Ms Jayalalithaa filed a defamation case against them in a Madras sessions court.Mr Vasudevan is a heart patient and has been living on a meagre Rs 400 monthly pension given by the Karnataka government. He lost his son in an accident and his wife also died a few years ago. He lives in a tiny house all alone is helped by local villagers. “I spoke to media thinking my sister would know about my plight and offer help, but she filed defamation case. Still, she is my sister and I didn’t want her to land in jail. Ms Jayalalithaa was facing a dozen such cases and she got acquitted in all, except this,” he said.
