LR Jagadheesan : Of the many contributions of Ko Si Mani,
one of the strongest DMK stalwarts, conducting DMK’s general council meeting during the most turbulent time when Vaiko split the party and tried to freeze its election symbol in Tanjore was an important one.
That general council meeting was conducted with military precision.
Every minute detail is meticulously planned and executed. Media was allowed.
Everything was recorded. It went all the way to Indian Supreme Court and established the DMK’s rightful ownership to Kalainjar. In that judgement, the SC praised the DMK’s inner-party democratic set-up and conduct. Ko Si Mani was a rooted politician (with his feet firmly on the ground) and committed party man with unwavering loyalty towards the party and its leadership.
There are hardly any more such politicians left in the DMK or TN politics. We have left with minions, time servers, chameleons and outright looters.

திமுக என்கிற கட்சிக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, அதையும் கடந்து ஒட்டுமொத்த தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கும். ஒரு உண்மையான தலைவன் இருந்தால் தான் உறுதியான தளகர்த்தர்கள் உருவாக முடியும்.
அதுவே அரசியல் இயங்கியலின் அடிப்படை இலக்கணம்.
அதனால் தான் கலைஞருக்கு கோ சி மணி போன்ற மிகச்சிறந்த தளகர்த்தர்கள் வாய்த்தார்கள்.
தஞ்சையில் மட்டுமல்ல. தமிழ்நாடு முழுக்க. 40 ஆண்டுகாலம் அரசியலில் “செயல்” “செயல்” என “செயல்பட்டதாக” புகழப்படும் இன்றைய திமுக “தலைவர்” தன் 40-ஆண்டு பொதுவாழ்வில் இதுவரை அப்படியான தளகர்த்தர்கள் எத்தனைபேரை உருவாக்கினார்?
என்று உங்களுக்குள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். விடையை வெளியில் சொல்ல வேண்டாம். ஏனென்றால் வெளியில் பெருமையோடு சொல்வதற்கு ஒன்றும் இருக்காது.

தன் வீட்டிற்குள் தன் சொந்த கட்சிக்காரர்களையோ கட்சியின் முன்னணி தலைவர்களையோ கூட அனுமதிக்காத போயஸ் தோட்ட பெருமாட்டியின் மேட்டுக்குடி அணுகுமுறையை அட்சரம் பிசகாமல் தன் வீட்டிலும் தன் கட்சிக்காரர்களிடமும் கறாராக கடைபிடிக்கும் இன்றையை திமுக தலைவரால் ஒருநாளும் கோசி மணிகளை உருவாக்க முடியாது.
கு க செல்வங்களைத்தான் உருவாக்க முடியும். ஒரு உண்மையான தலைவன் தன் மனக்கதவையும் கட்சியின் கதவையும் வீட்டுக்கதவையும் கடைக்கோடி சாமானியனுக்கும் எப்போதும் திறந்து வைக்கப்பழக வேண்டும். அதுவும் அரசியலில் அது மிக மிக அவசியம்.
அந்த அடிப்படை தலைமைப்பண்பு தமிழ்நாட்டு அரசியலில் கலைஞரோடு முடிந்துபோனது. இது வெறும் பாவனைகள் பவனி வரும் காலம். ஒப்பனைகளின் மினுமினுப்பில் எல்லோராலும் லயிக்க முடியாது.

So it's too early to comment a personality who runs the State in these troubling time of 7 months.
Vijay Venkatesan : Yes I still remember the news articles on supreme court observation on DMK as a regional party having a streamlined process, rules, regulation ..Which no other indian party can claim ! Proud of being in DMK.
