India’s hardcore porn appetite: 3rd highest porn-watchers in the world, women catch on - If there is one sign of the high-speed data revolution which is taking over India, it is its increasing porn appetite. Not only are more and more men logging in to watch porn, women's appetite too for porn is increasing.
According to internet porn giant PornHub, India now has the third highest number of porn watchers in the world.
A 2015 survey by the website shows that India stands at number 3, just behind USA and UK in countries that view porn. Compared to last year, India has gained one position and pushed Canada to fourth.
The average time spent by Indians while consuming porn on the website is 9 minutes 30 seconds.
India ranked third on the list of women visitors to the site with the proportion of the female audience jumping to 30% this year from 26% in 2014.

“This number will likely keep increasing as more and more women are feeling empowered about their sexuality and experience less shame in liking sex,” psychologist and sex therapist Dr Laurie Betito told PornHub.
For Indians, ‘Indian’ was the most searched keyword in 2015 related to porn.
Among top 5 search keywords that recorded a spike, the phrase ‘Indian bhabhi devar’ recorded a leap of over 200%. Indians were also searching for ‘Indonesian’ and ‘Japanese.’

And those Indians who were watching in 2014, were watching more in 2015. Not kidding, as the survey says the US added 11 seconds to their average time on site. India added over a minute to their now 9:30 average since last year.
During holidays, traffic on porn sites see a reduction and it seems the beginning of Ramadan caused traffic to come down by 15% in India, while traffic went down on Rakshabandhan day too.

Also, almost half the proportion of porn viewers in India on the website is in the 18-24 age groups.
Porn consumption on the website by Indians through mobiles has gone up from 52% in 2014 to 60% in 2015 while that on desktops has gone done from 46% to 37%.
