உலகின் முதலாவது செயற்கை இதயம் ! பிரான்ஸ்

பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டின் தலைநகரான பரிஸ் மருத்துவமனையொன்றிலுள்ள மருத்துவர்கள் இதய நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த 75 வயதுடைய  முதியவர்  ஒருவருக்கு முதன் முறையாக செயற்கை மனித இதயத்தினை பொருத்தி சாதனை படைத்துள்ளனர். லித்தியம் அயான் பேட்டரிகள் மூலம் இயங்கும் இந்த செயற்கை மனித இதயம் 5 வருடம் வரை ஒருவரின் ஆயுட்காலத்தை நீடிக்க செய்யுமென கூறப்படுகின்றது.

"He is awake, feeding himself and talking with his family. We are thinking of getting him up on his feet soon, probably as early as this weekend," Professor Daniel Duveau, who saw the patient on Thursday, told Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper.
