ஆ.ராசா:வாட்ஸ்-அப், பேஸ்புக் வெற்றிக்கு 3 ஜி தான் காரணம்: அதை அறிமுகம் செய்துவைத்தது நான்தான்

 சேலம்  தொழிற்பேட்டை அருகில் சேலம் மத்திய மாவட்ட தி.மு.க. சார்பில் தி.மு.க. பொருளாளர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் பிறந்த நாளை முன்னிட்டு நலத்திட்ட உதவிகள் வழங்கும் விழாவும், பொது கூட்டமும் நடந்தது. கூட்டத்திற்கு 3–வது கோட்ட செயலாளர் ஜி.குமரவேல் தலைமை வகித்தார். இதில் முன்னாள் மத்திய மந்திரி ஆ.ராசா சிறப்புரையாற்றி நலத்திட்ட உதவிகளை வழங்கினார். அப்போது அவர், ''ஸ்பெக்ட்ரமில் தவறு ஏதும் நடக்கவில்லை. இதற்கு ஆதாரம் இல்லை என கூறப்பட்டு விட்டது. கொள்கை முடிவு எடுத்த பின்னர் தான் இதற்கு அனுமதி தரப்பட்டது. தற்போது அனைவரிடத்திலும் செல்போன் உள்ளது. இதன்மூலம் அனைவரும் வாட்ஸ் ஆப், பேக்ஸ்புக், டுவிட்டர் பயன்படுத்துகிறார்கள். இந்த வெற்றிக்கு காரணம் 3ஜித்தான். இன்னும் சொல்லப்போனால் இந்தியாவில் 3ஜியை அறிமுகம் செய்தது இந்த ராசாத்தான். அதையும் சென்னையில் தலைவர் கலைஞரை வைத்து தொடங்கி வைத்தேன்.
இந்த வழக்கில் இருந்து நிச்சயம் வெளியே வருவேன். தேர்தலுக்கு முன்னர் தமிழக அரசின் கடன் ரூ.55 ஆயிரம் கோடி. தேர்தலின் போது அ.தி.மு.க.வினர் இதை கூறி வாக்கு சேகரித்தனர். ஆனால் இப்போது கடன் ரூ.2லட்சம் கோடி என தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். இந்த அ.தி.மு.க. ஆட்சியில் எந்த திட்டமும் நடக்கவில்லை. எந்த மாநிலத்திலும் தண்ணீரை அரசு விற்பது இல்லை. ஆனால் தமிழகத்தில் தான் குடிநீர் விற்கப்படுகிறது. வருகிற தேர்தலில் செங்கோலை மீட்டு எடுப்போம். மீண்டும் தமிழகத்தில் தி.மு.க. ஆட்சி அமையும். இது உறுதி’’என்கூறினார்.  nakkheeran.in

CHENNAI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will make the first call signalling the inauguration of the third generation cell phone services in the country in December, Union Communications and Information Technology Minister A. Raja said on Friday.

In Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will inaugurate the facility on Pongal day, he told journalists here. Both Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited will get 3G spectrum allotted ahead of the auctions. This is to ensure that both the public sector companies will be able to complete the roll-out with the private sector players, who will get spectrum allotted after an auction.

“The government procedures are such that unless we begin now, the process of finalising tenders and related works cannot be completed on time. If BSNL and MTNL are not allotted spectrum now, they will not be able to do the roll-out when the private operators do it,” said Mr. Raja.

This is a case of positive discrimination which has the approval of all parties, including the telecom unions, he said.

The new generation cell phones will be able to process multimedia data, both voice and video.

It has a base band processor and a multi-standard radio interface and is a “rich man’s” tool, Mr. Raja said.

He added that an agency for the open e-auction has been finalised. Mumbai-based Rothschild and Sons will conduct the auctions. The auctions will have to be completed three months from now since the norms laid down stipulate that the auctions will have to be done within three months from the date of finalisation of the agency that is to conduct the auctioning.

Delay in allocation

Mr. Raja agreed that there has been inordinate delay in the allocation of 3G spectrum.

“The recommendations for allocating 3G spectrum were made in 2006. Till I assumed charge of the Ministry, no action was taken on it,” he said. Those who were criticising him now using the media at their disposal, would do well to remember their record while in office.

Asked if any action was being contemplated against those who wilfully tried to hide the fact that there was enough spectrum available in the country to be shared among new players, he said a Member of Parliament had given a complaint to the Prime Minister in this regard. This complaint has been forwarded to his Ministry for comments.

The allegations of wrongdoing in his Ministry in a section of the Tamil media were a well-planned and rehearsed assault on the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, he said. The party was an important constituent of the UPA at the Centre and its Ministers had come in for commendation for their work.

A small section of persons could not bear this and were spreading canards against the DMK and its Ministers. The people of the State will give them a befitting reply, he added.

‘No favouritism’

On the question of grant of licences to new operators for 2G services, Mr. Raja asserted that there was no favouritism in the selection of any operator.

“It’s all been done in a transparent manner and is available for anyone for verification,” he said.
